But full-on touch screens are only for iPhones and iPads. The Neonode AirBar, announced Tuesday at CES 2017, is a 99 accessory that turns a 13-inch MacBook Air screen into a touch screen. Instead, the bar projects a field of infrared light that recognizes the location of your finger. Neonode tricks it by combining drag and click into a single touch movement. I swiped through photos, panned around Apple Maps, even rearranged icons into folders in Apples LaunchPad. Using the free Paintbrush app, I signed my name and drew a beautiful paintingOK fine, a smiley faceright on the screen.
